Papers can refer to research reports and descriptions of experiences.
The object of research reports is to present original and completely new topics that reflect the current state or the critical and systematical analysis of a research topic, along with the (inductive or deductive) researcher’s proposals.
A research report is expected to cover the following aspects:
• Definition of the subject matter
• Clear and succinct explanation of the context wherein lies the subject matter
• Synthesis of the theoretical framework sustaining the research development.
• Description of the research methodology.
• Analysis of the subject matter and research results.
• Final debate and contributions.
• Bibliography.
Such a description takes into account all the greatly advanced or concluded experiences which have produced creative and effective impact-like responses in the academic (teaching, research and extension) world and in the academic and administrative management of higher education. These experiences are based on innovation and good practices. In addition, they are expected to be documented, systematized and assessed.
The description of experiences of innovation or good practice should cover the following aspects:
• Presentation of the context wherein lies the experience.
• Relevance of the addressed problems or situations.
• Theoretical discussion sustaining the experience.
• Methodology applied to the innovated, addressed or transformed educational situation.
• Assessment processes, adjustments and improvements required in the process of innovation or good practice.
• Analysis of the progresses or results of innovation or good practice.
• Extents, limitations and recommendations.
• Bibliography.
