A partir de la reciente actualización de la herramienta de videoconferencia de escritorio BigBlueButton en Plataforma Moodle, además de las facilidades ya conocidas se incorporan nuevos beneficios, mismos que se mencionan a continuación para que puedan aprovechar al máximo las sesiones sincrónicas que programen en sus entornos:

  • Esta nueva versión no requiere la utilización de Flash Player o la instalación de Java, se utiliza la tecnología HTML5, lo que facilita su acceso desde cualquier navegador.
  • Se puede utilizar desde diferentes dispositivos móviles, sin necesidad de instalar ningún componente adicional. Se recomienda tener instalada la última versión disponible de su navegador web.
  • Presenta una interfaz más amigable e intuitiva para el usuario final.
  • Es una aplicación más liviana lo que permite mayor velocidad en su funcionamiento.
  • Es posible compartir videos de Youtube.
  • Se puede acceder desde el App de Moodle.

From the recent update of the BigBlueButton video/web conferencing tool in our virtual learning platform, in addition to the already known facilities, new benefits are incorporated. Below you will find all the new advantages so that you can take full advantage of the synchronous sessions that you schedule in your virtual environments:

  • This new version does not require the use of Flash Player or the installation of Java, instead HTML5 technology is used, which facilitates access from any browser.
  • It can be used from different mobile devices, without the need to install any additional components. It is recommended to have the latest version of your web browser installed.
  • It has a more friendly and intuitive interface.
  • It is a lighter application which allows greater speed in its operation.
  • It is possible to share YouTube videos.
  • It can be accessed from the Moodle Mobile App.
